I remember when I was in my 20's thinking that there would be some place where I would "arrive" and that life would just be like riding a wave from there on out. But now I realize that even when you get up on that wave, you still have to constantly adjust to keep your balance. Sometimes you fall off and have to paddle back out and wait for another wave. Sometimes you get a snoot-full of saltwater. Sometimes you become tired of treading and have to just lean back and float. Sometimes something creepy brushes up against your leg and you decide to call it a day and get some rest so you can try again tomorrow.
Remember: Life is about balance and the center of that balance is inside you. You can't control the waves, but you can always control how you choose to respond to them.
